Mr. Daniel Verdugo

Mr. Verdugo started teaching at Huron HS in 2018. He was born and raised in Spain, and he earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Barcelona. His interest in foreign languages and cultures is one of the reasons he decided to become a foreign language teacher. Before joining Huron, Mr. Verdugo lived in Puerto Rico, where he taught Spanish, Social Studies, Community Service and French. After completing the Spanish teaching program at the University of Puerto Rico, he relocated with his wife and daughter to Michigan. At Huron, Mr. Verdugo wants to prepare his students for the life-long journey that is learning a foreign language. He is convinced that learning foreign languages is key for students today, so we can all have a better tomorrow.
